SCHOLARSHIP

Makassar State University is a university that pays attention to students who come from economically weak communities but have high achievements. One form of attention given by UNM is to always look for sources of scholarship providers that can be used as financial support for underprivileged students. Scholarships are expected to help improve achievement and speed up the study completion process for the recipient students.

In the future, UNM will continue to look for new breakthroughs to build partnerships with various scholarship providers. To support these steps, the Department of Geography Unm also helps develop steps for students who are experiencing financial difficulties.

Aim

1. Providing services to students by opening wider opportunities for Indonesian children who have high intellectual abilities, but do not have adequate financial support to study at Makassar State University
2. Provide services to outstanding students in order to increase their achievement and shorten their study period.

Scholarship Type

In general, scholarships are given to students who really need them so that they are always on target. There are two types of scholarships that are managed and distributed by UNM to students, namely:

1. Bidikmisi Scholarship at UNM

Scholarship requirements at UNM, Bidikmisi:

• Printing participant cards as well as registration forms for the Bidikmisi scholarship program directly from the Bidikmisi system.
• Original high school graduation certificate from the principal
• Photocopy of the school principal’s legalized diploma
• Photocopy of national final exam scores legalized by the principal
• Certificate of rank or achievement in class along with supporting evidence of other achievements in extracurricular or co-curricular legalized by the principal
• Photocopy of the school principal’s legalized report card, semester 1 to semester 6
• Social security card if the recipient of the BSM scholarship, accompanied by a certificate of incapacity or a certificate of parental income, is known to the village head or community leader or the company where the parents work.
• Photocopy of family composition certificate or family card
• Photocopy of the latest electricity bill or proof of payment of development tax.

2. PPA and BBM Scholarships

If you are successfully accepted by Makassar State University, you are entitled to a scholarship at UNM, namely the PPA or BBM scholarship. Both types of scholarships are government efforts for students through the Directorate General of higher education.

PPA and BBM scholarship requirements include:

• Student application letter to the Chancellor/director/chairman
• Photocopy of active account book
• Certificate of having good behavior, being healthy and active in campus activities according to the leadership of a private or state university
• Statement letter from students who are not civil servants, TNI, POLRI employees
• Photocopy of KTM, last semester’s GPA, KRS, temporary transcripts as proof of active students
• Copy of KK
• Affidavit of unmarried
• Statement letter of not receiving scholarship assistance from other sources
• The scholarship scheme is that you are entitled to an educational aid budget as an underprivileged student in order to facilitate education, but the condition is that you have achievements in the form of extracurricular or intracurricular.

3. South Sulawesi Provincial Government Scholarship

If you are an active student looking for a scholarship at UNM, you can take advantage of a scholarship from the South Sulawesi provincial government to finance your studies.
